I had finish shooting my last wedding this past Saturday till Donnie comes and I am not sure if it was the hormones or because I actually KNEW the bride (we were college roommate), I cried when I saw her walked down with her dad. We joked about the possibility of me giving birth right there in the lodge between e-mails and thus I was mostly doing secondary shooting the whole day.
The weather was perfect, after a week of freakishly good sunny weather we had overcast sky for our mid-afternoon outdoor shoot at Granville Island. Just when we were about to leave for Queen's park in New West, it started to rain...lightly. When we get to the rose garden, the rain stop. Randi and Steve had their wonderful ceremony , and the pillars withstand the constant kicking of the ring bearer (who refused to take the pillow back because he thought he was done after he handed it to Steve). I was glad my friend Kevin agree to help out because to be honest, it was getting hard for me to do the constant kneeling down shot and then try to gracefully get back up spotting the 20 lbs....
It was perfect. The food was good, I had a lot of fun and I am pretty proud of the photos outcome...
Getting down to editing now since I will try to finish this as soon as possible. Please come back and check for more photos.

Erica and Chris flash album
View the entire album at Erica & Chris 's flash gallery
Out of all of the layout, I definitely like this one the most. All of these were taken without flash and the couple was lighted by the videographer's light only in a pitch dark room. I just really love how kinda look like a spot light on random part of the photos..and there they are! kind of feel.

I had made it into a spread of 2 8x8 pages, I am kind of digging this size. Very unexpected.

CONGRATs
I had just settle down to do an album for my friend Ikki and Erick, well, partly because I was ask to go to a bunch of client meeting with print work. Yes, I have been getting jobs solely base on website portfolio and referral. Anyhow, the meetings went great and the push for me to do a portfolio was so great that I am now thinking to do a book via flickr. I think I will get down to that after Michelle's wedding but before Donny is born.
Anyway, back to the album. These are all on 8.5 x 11 since I printed these at home. For the church part, I did all layout in photoshop...then all of the reception one were done in lightroom Print module. Here are a few example:

B&W high contrast preset
hard light-0137, originally uploaded by Vivian Chung Photography (KJmeow).
This is one of those image that define what I love to shoot. I need a photo using Hard Light, and I shoot a couple of really harsh extreme one, but this is a happy accident. I turn my shutter slower by mistaken and I really like the softness of this photo.
Speedlite 580 raw, point at butterfly position. The position of the speedlite also leak some light at the background, which is my beloved shower stall.
edited: Preset: High Contrast B&W
It's a set, actually, including the modified Extreme edition.

- I am a mother who spoil her son, a daughter who had been spoil rotten; A woman that let her man roam free as long as he listens to me, and a friend who felt like she never care enough. I am a photographer that take quirky photos and has a wicked sense of humor. I am IN LOVE with my son, and have a husband who is my number 1 fan. I tense and tear up at TV and movie, and translate all of my rages and emotion to my photographs. I suck at verbal communication but people amaze at my creation. Like the song said, I am not innocent and sweet. I am just bubble-ly weired, confused like the rest of the world.
